Alaska Salmon Fishing Rates for the Kenai Penisula
We do both daily fishing charters and weekly fishing packages. We will custom create a Salmon Fishing Package to fits your needs and your budget.
Daily Salmon fishing rates:
King Salmon
- $175 per person for a half day
- $275 per person for a full day
Boat, tackle and licensed guide are always provided. A half day is 5 hours, a full day is 8 or more. We highly recommend the full day. That extra 3 or 4 hours gives us more flexibility and can sometimes make all of difference.
Halibut Fishing
Varies depending on when and where you’re going, but usually run about $300 per person per day.
Silver Salmon
August and September we fish for Coho Salmon (Silvers) on the Kenai.
- $150 per person for a half day
- $250 per person for a full day
Sockeye Salmon
Guided Sockeye Salmon fishing is also available in July.
- $175 per person for a half day
- $275 per person for a full day
Again, all trips include boat, tackle and licensed guide.
Rainbow Trout
Catch and release trout fishing is available July, August and September.
- Half day trips not available
- $275 per person for a full day
Fly outs with fishing and bear viewing
Varies depending on timing and location, but figure about a minimum of $400 per person. Early reservations play a key role in obtaining the desired dates you want for all fishing activities.
Custom Salmon Fishing Packages
We offer custom packages that include your lodging and fishing activities. You can enjoy the convenience of one stop shopping. We can design a package just for you. Below are two of our more common packages.
- 7 day/6 night trip - Our basic package price for a 7 day /6 night trip, plus 4 full days of fishing is $1995 per person (minimum double occupancy). The trip includes lodging in one of our private lake front cabins, 3 days guided fishing on the Kenai, and 1 full day fishing for Halibut on the Cook Inlet. We can add trips or substitute as you desire.
- 3 day package - includes lodging for 3 nights and 2 full days of fishing on the Kenai River for just $750 per person (double occupancy).
A 3% sales tax is added to all activity’s and lodging.
Travel Details
Rental cars are available in both Anchorage and Kenai. It is highly recommended that you put your reservation in early. The drive from Anchorage takes about 3 hours and is filled with breath taking scenery the whole way.
If you fly into Kenai we are about 15 minutes from the airport. The Kenai and Soldotna area is a bustling little community with a Fred Meyer/Kroger, a couple of Safeway’s and a Wal-Mart.
A 50% deposit is required when booking your trip; we do take Visa and MasterCard.
